WE ARE FILI CREATIVE

As a mission-driven company, both our name and our mission statement are central to our identity and inform our daily operations.

fili, (Old Irish: “seer”) is an ancient Irish term for a bard-poet. The fili were tasked with writing and passing down the stories of the people. They could alter the stories somewhat over time, but the essence and meaning of the tales had to remain the same.

Although times change, stories remain a powerful and enduring form of communication. At Fili Creative, we translate stories into the medium of our time—video. We help our clients find their “why” and tell the world what they have to offer.

Our shield logo is a visual representation of our mission statement “To fight for the good in the world by telling stories that matter.” The bow represents “to fight”, the dove stands for “the good”, and the arrow/quill represents “telling stories.”

Gus

CEO

Gus is an ADHD-fueled, third-generation entrepreneur who founded Fili Creative to tell stories that help organizations of all kinds achieve their goals and make the world better. He enjoys building relationships with people of all walks of life and connecting people so that great ideas can take root and spread.

Devin

Executive Producer

Devin has worked in the creative industry for 14 years as a web developer, graphic designer, and videographer. When not filming Devin enjoys watching movies, playing video games, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Sydney

Business Development Manager

Sydney, a Salina native, thrives in relationship building and guiding clients through video marketing. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three kids.

Alicia

Producer

Alicia graduated from Sterling College with a BA in Communications. She enjoys organizing, scheduling, and meeting new people. When not at Fili, Alicia is involved in theatre and enjoys photography, reading, and costume creation.

Tim

Editor

Tim enjoys flying the drones and finding creative solutions while editing. Avocationally, he loves playing tabletop/video games, watching movies with friends, taking part in local theatre and is a radio drama enthusiast.

Tanner

Photojournalist and Story Producer

Tanner is a graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University with a degree in Photography. He enjoys chasing storms and exploring the hidden gems of Kansas. He has a small garden and recently added
a bee hive.

Julie

Administrative Assistant

Julie has called Salina home for 26 years. With a professional background in banking and customer service, she values building strong relationships and serving others. She enjoys volunteering, spending time with family and friends, playing yard games, and s’mores around the fire.

Merlin

Audio Engineer

Merlin has been involved in audio/music for most of his adult life. When not involved in all things audio at Fili, Merlin enjoys time with family, playing and composing music as well as anything involving creativity.
